Being Together June Camp 2021

“This was my first camp.  I have danced at Kew for many years, but never managed a camp until now.  I had heard of the rave reviews from other dancers, but never really understood what their fervor was really about.

Now I get it.   It was the most incredible, ecstatic, life-affirming experience.  Never mind the weather, or the 4 hour drive to get there.  Once we gathered in the evening for our first fire cooked meal, followed by an exhilarating dance in the rain, the world fell away. And we were one, in the dance together.  Tim’s containment, his passion, his warmth and wisdom and his extraordinary energy held the group together and led us through a weekend of dance, yoga, meditation, delicious veggie food, tears and laughter.  Everyone is friendly, welcoming and inclusive and there is plenty of time to be alone as well as together.  The setting is gorgeous and the bell tent is a total marvel! (I always worry about being cold, but there is no chance of that with the tent’s roaring open log stove). 

A word about Alex too, who, if Tim is the beating heart of the camp, Alex is the turbo charged engine!
